By PlaneYou can fly to the airport of Genova from all over Europe (Madrid, Munich, Tirana, Paris, London Stansted from March 2008). Once you are at the airport the shuttle, called Volabus 100, will ride you to one of the main railway stations called Genova Piazza Principe, for about 4 EUR. The shuttle leaves every 20 minutes from the airport and takes about 30 minutes to complete the trip, in reasonable conditions of traffic. Please have a look at AMT, the city transportation company, for more information. Taxi service is also available, of course, and a ride from the airport to the AI-Lab will cost about 25 EUR. By train and busGenova has two main railway stations, Genova Piazza Principe and Genova Brignole. Please visit Trenitalia web site (the national railway transportation service) for more information about connections to and from Genova Brignole, which is the nearer. Taxi and bus services are also available. If you come by bus, either get to the junction of Via Albaro and Viale Francesco Causa (bus 15 or 43, get down at the very junction -- see map ); or the junction of Corso Aldo Gastaldi and Via Filippo Corridoni (bus 17, 44, 45, 85, 86 or 87, get down at the junction -- see map ). By carFour motorways reach Genova: A10 from the West, A7 and A26 from the North, and A12 from the East. Get out at the exits named "Genova Nervi" or "Genova Est", then follow the instructions above. Be aware: you have to pay for motorway access in Northern Italy.
